Houghton Artworks is run by Amanda Caldwell BA (Hons) and is based in the beautiful Cambridgeshire village of Houghton.
Formally trained in Southampton and Taunton, Amanda has been painting and drawing since a child. She has previously worked as a carton designer (designing packaging for names such as Boots and Givenchy) and is currently working as a botanical artist and Art Tutor.
Amanda is a member of the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists and has exhibited at the annual exhibition (2016 and 2017)
where she won the Rosemary and Co award.
In November she was proud to exhibit at the Society of Botanical Artists annual exhibition in Westminster, London
where she was one of a small number of non-members who had her work successfully selected
She is teaching at the Adult Education Centres across Cambridgeshire as well as tutoring privately and for local art groups.
Amanda is also available for private commissions in a variety of media - watercolour, acrylic, pastel or pencil to suit the specific request.
After a career break to have children and is now actively producing new botanical artwork including commissions which have travelled as far afield as Switzerland and Australia.
